Grants of up to £3,000 for harder to fund projects

Active Derbyshire, Active Notts, Funding, News

The Seven Friends Foundation provides small grants up to £3,000 to organisations that fulfil their charitable aims:

• To support and promote causes that are ignored, unpopular or face widespread stigma
• Create stronger local communities that include those who have previously been excluded or marginalised
• Improve skills, infrastructure, sustainability and collaboration within the third sector.

The foundation will support small organisations, typically meaning those with an average annual income of under £300,000.

Grants are available to both registered charities and other organisations which are not charities but which seek funding for charitable work, however, these organisations may be asked to provide additional evidence.

The foundation will support organisations working anywhere within the UK but has a preference for those located in areas of deprivation.

The types of causes and groups that may receive funding include:
• Asylum seekers and refugees
• Migrant communities
• Offenders and ex-offenders
• People experiencing violence or abuse.

The deadline for applications is 1st February 2024.
