Funding for LGBTQ+ Organisations working in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

Active Notts, Funding, News

The Spencer Trust Fund offers small grants to LGBTQ+ organisations in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Your group can apply if you help LGBT+ communities become healthier, more active, or better connected.

Who can apply?

Constituted voluntary groups, community organisations, charities, and CIOs with incomes under £100,000 can apply. The fund prioritises organisations that currently receive no funding. Groups must receive grants into a group bank account. Individuals cannot apply.

What can it fund?

The fund supports activities that benefit the local LBGTQIA+ community. It focuses on projects that improve mental health and community wellbeing. Projects must finish within 12 months of receiving a grant. The fund cannot pay for salaries, rent, overheads, alcohol, accommodation, or overseas activities.

How much can you apply for?

The Spencer Trust offers small grants funded by donations. It only provides £1000 in exceptional circumstance. For items or services over £250, applicants must provide two quotes to demonstrate value for money.

How does it work?

The board reviews applications every March, June, September, and December.
