The Airport Community Fund is dedicated to bringing lasting benefit to those areas most affected by the airport’s operations. It forms part of the airport’s Community Relations programme, committed to minimising the impact that airport operations have on surrounding communities.
Charities, community groups and not-for-profit community organisations within the East Midlands Airport (EMA) area of benefit can apply for a grant for tangible items of lasting benefit. These include equipment and furniture. This fund cannot pay for running costs, consumables, salaries, rent, maintenance.
The area of benefit in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire is mainly either side of the M1 corridor. Check the website for details of eligible postcodes.
The objectives of the fund include “ To bring the community closer together through facilities for sport, recreation, and other leisure time activities”.
Grants are up to £2,000. The next two round close 7th April 2025 and 7th July 2025.
