88 schools across Notts and Derbyshire have been selected by Sport England to complete the Active Lives Young People Survey this autumn term.
The survey is the biggest of its kind, gathering insight into young people’s physical activity habits and their feelings towards physical activity.
Active Notts and Active Derbyshire are able to offer all the schools support with completion, which for many is what they need. Capacity is often still stretched in schools, and we found this made a big difference last term.
Schools which complete the survey receive a detailed, personalised report from IPSOS Mori, vouchers to spend on PE equipment at ESPO, and also the teacher survey informs which Healthy School accreditation they receive this academic year.
As well as providing valuable insight to inform the national picture, the survey is also a way we can connect locally with schools and find out more about what they are doing. This can potentially lead to future working partnerships and help strengthen relationships between us.
