Leek Building Society Charitable Foundation was founded in 2021. The Foundation supports local schemes and good causes across Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Shropshire.
The Foundation’s primary purpose is to provide grants and donations that will have a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged or vulnerable people.
Applicants can apply for a maximum grant of £5,000. The application form asks whether applicants can provide up to 50% match funding for the amount applied for.
The trustees usually meet quarterly, in January, April, July and October, so applications can take up to three months to be assessed.
Applicants don’t have to be a member to apply. Any charity or organisation that meets the Foundation’s application criteria can apply. The Charitable Foundation was established by Leek Building Society, but makes its decisions independently.
