EDI Lead

Derby County Community Trust

Derby County Community Trust harness the power of Derby County Football Club to improve lives and communities through sport, physical activity, health and education. This exciting new role involves leading and shaping the development of EDI strategy integrating EDI principles and plans across Club and Community Trust. Based within the HR department of the Community Trust, the postholder will play a key role in developing EDI initiatives, programmes and projects which challenge inequality and discrimination, promote social integration and build community cohesion. You will work across both Club and Community Trust to lead on the delivery and achievement of required EDI standards, action plans, handbooks and policy to embed and achieve strategic objectives. The role requires excellent stakeholder relationship management, both internally and externally, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You will bring your passion, flair and commitment to address under-representation, to use data and metrics to drive decision making and the development of internal and external initiatives, including designing and delivering inspiring community events to promote inclusive opportunities that capture the imagination of all participants. You’ll possess strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex issues clearly, but with an aptitude to initiate and manage change, thinking innovatively to create solutions. With a demonstrable knowledge and expertise in delivering EDI initiatives, and an ability to translate strategy into practical people-focused operational delivery, you will provide professional support to Club and Community Trust, including facilitating staff training, developing partnerships with local community groups/organisations and working with the supporter base of DCFC in working to address under-representation on a matchday.
