Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

The Physical Activity and Sports Development Team sit within Leisure Services and contribute to the District Councils priorities including improving health and wellbeing and increasing participation in sport and leisure activities.

In this role you will assist in the coordination and delivery of a number of varied and progressive sport and physical activity programmes for all sections of the community and engage local communities to become more physically active by working closely with local people and partners, utilising community assets and providing opportunities inked to healthy lifestyles.

To be successful you will need:

*A sport, leadership or community development qualification or equivalent industry based experience.
*Good communication skills.
*Have experience of working in a community setting
*Have experience of working in and engaging with a wide range of organisations, such as schools, clubs and community groups.
*Experience of delivering and organising sport/physical activity sessions

The post is based at the Arc, Clowne but will involve work at venues across the District.

Hours of work will mainly be day time working but may include evenings, weekends and during holiday periods as required.
