Children and Young Persons Out Reach Worker

We are seeking a part time Outreach Worker to join our friendly team and help develop our Golden Thread Programme. The objectives of the programme are to: · Promote the benefits of volunteering and citizenship among young people. · Support young people to engage in activities within their local community that support their health, wellbeing, and development. · Give young people the opportunity to be mentored by adults who can help them progress and learn new skills. · Work closely with our partner organisations to ensure that volunteering and citizenship forms part of the offer to young people in our district. You will have: · At least 2 years’ experience of working with children and young people. · Experience of recruiting and training volunteers. · Experience of working with partner agencies and developing services in response to need. · Experience of working with community groups. · A “can do” attitude.
