Nordic walking in Small groups. Specifically designed to meet the needs of people who want a slower paced walk. As nordic walking is low impact it can be of help to people with a range of health conditions such as osteoarthritis, parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis etc. Also it may be just right for those who want to amble in pleasant surroundings, whilst doing something that will maintain fitness levels, possibly improve balance and posture. Social element very important.
Individuals will need to learn the nordic walking technique initially before joining the main walk. Poles provided. Small fee to cover expenses.
Walks take place at Attenborough Nature Reserve and Rushcliffe Country Park.
