DVO are delighted to announce that we have been awarded an Orienteering Foundation grant to employ a part-time Club Development Officer (CDO).
We need an enthusiastic, energetic sports development worker, preferably with a knowledge of orienteering, for 8 hours per week equivalent. The role involves:
––Delivering Beginners and Improvers programmes.
––Working with Committee members to design and recruit for these programmes.
––Following-up with participants post event.
Flexible working hours will include weekend and evening work, attending events close to Derby and delivering the 2 programmes in 6-week blocks. Our experienced club coaches and volunteers are excited to offer their support in the planning and delivery of each programme.
The CDO, if not an orienteer, would need to be a Level 2 qualified coach in another sport. The successful candidate will be supported to gain their orienteering coaching qualification if they do not already have it. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required, as will a basic first aid qualification.
£16 per hour. Initially for 1 year, extendible for 2 further years.
