Nottinghamshire School Summer Games 2026 Application Form
Please complete the application form below to apply for a place at our Nottinghamshire School Summer Games Day on Thursday 9 July at Harvey Hadden Sport Village.
Only one form per school will count.
Please bring 8-12 young people from year 7.
Event Overview
The aim of the day is for the young people to have a positive experience of competition based on the motivation competence and confidence of those that need our support the most.
To be eligible for a place in the team please make sure the young person has not been picked for any school team during the year, that they don’t play for a club outside of school, as we are looking for schools to use this event to inspire young people.
The day will be split into a morning and afternoon session
- Event 1 – Track and Field Athletics in the Stadium
- Event 2 – Team Sport Challenge in the Sports Centre (3 sports – Golf, Indoor Rowing, Dodgeball TBC)
- Morning session – 18 teams do Track and Field, 18 Teams compete in the Team Sport Challenge
- Afternoon session – Swap activities
- An overall ranking system for each of the 4 sports will score teams 1 – 36 in each sport
- Medal awards – District results (1st to 4th) & Overall results (1 to 4) – everyone wins a medal!
School expectations (if successful)
- Liase with your School Games Organiser around the event
- Attend the event on 9th July
- Complete the evaluation and give feedback where necessary
- Arrange own transport to the event
