Event Overview
A day to celebrate and promote different ways we can be active, encouraging using the outdoors and building a positive relationship with physical activity.
The day will touch on three key outcomes:
- Improving the physical literacy of young people through positive experiences
- Tackling local inequalities by working with young people in greatest need
- Providing a safe, inclusive, accessible and meaningful experience
Physical literacy is our relationship with movement and physical activity throughout life.
The activities are split into four zones; think, move, feel and connect. These are the different components of physical literacy, and all play a crucial role.
We would like you to really consider the needs of your pupils and who you would like to attend this event. Think about their current levels of engagement with physical activity, their personal background with regards to inequalities and their level of support both in and out of school.
We would like to invite those children who aren’t traditionally thought of when it comes to activities like this.
Activities on the day will include:
- Scavenger Hunt/Nature Walk
- Bushcraft Art
- Frisbee Golf
- Tree Nets
- Soft Archery
School Expectations (if successful)
