Events Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants, whether attending in person or online. By participating, you agree to uphold the following standards:

Expected Behaviour

  • Treat all participants, speakers, organisers, and staff with respect and professionalism.
  • Be considerate, inclusive, and mindful of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Communicate constructively, both in-person and via digital platforms (e.g., chat, forums, social media).
  • Follow all event rules, venue policies, and applicable laws.

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following will not be tolerated in any setting (physical or virtual):

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language or behaviour.
  • Unwanted attention, including persistent contact, stalking, or unwelcome physical interaction.
  • Disruptive behaviour that interferes with the event or others’ participation.
  • Sharing or displaying inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content online or within event spaces.

Online-Specific Expectations

  • Use respectful language in chats, Q&A sessions, and discussion forums.
  • Do not spam, troll, or intentionally disrupt digital sessions.
  • Respect privacy—do not record, screenshot, or share content or participant details without permission.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the event organisers immediately through the designated contact channels – via private message or email while online or a member of the team at in person events. All reports will be handled promptly and confidentially where possible.

Consequences of Violations

Any participant who violates this Code of Conduct may face one or more of the following actions:

  • Verbal or written warning.
  • Removal from a session or activity.
  • Suspension or removal from the event without refund.
  • Revocation of future participation privileges.
  • Escalation to venue security, employers, or relevant authorities where appropriate.

By attending or participating, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct and help maintain a respectful and safe environment for everyone.
